Neon

I found this new feature called neon when I was editing some of my pictures. I like how it highlights and defines the most prominent lines.

See The Sun

The other day my family went to dinner at one of my dad's best friend's house.  The meal was delicious, and I had a lovely time.  The conversation turned to the family's upcoming vacation after a while, and it made me want to go on a vacation.  They were going to pack the next day and head off on Monday. Now I cannot stop thinking about how badly I want to go to the beach.  I just want to be able to lie down on my towel and get some sun.  I want to go to sleep with my hair smelling like the ocean breeze.  I want to wake up to the blinding sun coming in though the window that the owners never bothered to dress with curtains.  I want to hear the shrieks of the kids making sand angels, feel the cool water when the sun gets too hot, and, yes, even feel the disgusting dripping feeling of my mother spraying me with enough sunblock to cover someone three times my size.  I just want to see the sun.

A Little Insight

"Death's got an Invisibility Cloak?" Harry interrupted again.
"So he can sneak up on people," said Ron. "Sometimes he gets bored of running at them, flapping his arms and shrieking..."

An Elephant and Six Blind Men

I love this poem, and I find this is exactly how we see ourselves.  We see the worst parts, and others see our best qualities.

It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First approach'd the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!"

The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, -"Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!"

The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake!"

The Fourth reached out his eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he,
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Then, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!

Hello, Goodbye

Sometimes I wonder whether or not people actually want to talk to me. Maybe they are just trying to get rid of me.  I know they are saying hello with their mouth, but I never know if they are saying goodbye with their hearts.    A lot of times I feel unwanted and alone, but every once in a while something good will happen that inspires me to go on.  And the cycle repeats; it is frustrating.

Cafe du Monde

Today, I was really craving some beignets and coke. It is an odd combination; I know.  I still really wanted them.  The best beignets in the world come from Cafe du Monde New Orleans, Lousisiana.  If you have never been there, it is worth the trip. Once when I was little, my sister complained to my father that her beignets were hot.  He told her to blow on them as a joke, but he forgot the little fact that he was seated directly across from her.  When you go just be sure to wear white.

I have no idea how to post this, so I have a link.

Yes, I apologize for the atrocious grammar, but I want to leave the quotes in the original form that I found them in.
